After graduating, I began my career at iFlavours as a Digital Designer. It was my first real step into the field, and a great place to grow.
I worked on a wide range of projects—designing website visuals, creating email templates, and developing branded email campaigns. One of the highlights was helping build a new brand identity for one of their latest websites, from visual concept to final design.
This role gave me a strong foundation in digital design and taught me how to combine creativity with functionality in a commercial setting.
One of their websites focused on promoting discounts from other websites and referring users to these deals. Each product category—like fashion, tech, or travel—needed its own set of banners to highlight the latest offers.
I was responsible for designing these banners from start to finish. This included selecting visuals, creating layouts, and ensuring everything fit the brand style. The goal was to make each banner eye-catching, clear, and clickable—encouraging users to explore the deals.
Designing and coding email templates at iFlavours
I got my first experience designing and coding HTML email templates. Every year, the company refreshed the look of its emails to match the latest design trends and ensure compatibility with modern email clients and devices.
I was responsible for designing new templates from scratch—starting with wireframes, then turning them into responsive designs that looked good on both desktop and mobile. I also coded the templates in HTML, making sure everything worked smoothly across different email platforms.
This project helped me build both my design and coding skills, and gave me a solid understanding of how to create clean, functional emails from concept to completion.
