About Cubigo
Cubigo is a platform designed to support caregivers in assisting elderly people. It offers access to a wide range of services, tools, and information—allowing caregivers to stay in touch with family members, medical professionals, and stay updated on the needs and status of their elderly clients. While powerful, the platform’s many features can feel overwhelming, especially for those using it in a busy, care-focused environment.
Caregivers reported that it was difficult to navigate the platform, leading to time spent figuring out where to find things—instead of spending time with the people they care for. I experienced this firsthand when I explored the platform myself. I made a list of areas that felt cluttered or confusing and noticed that the extensive use of colors and icons added to the cognitive load.

Old Cubigo design
The aim of this redesign was to make Cubigo feel simpler and more intuitive. I wanted caregivers to quickly find what they need, without distraction. Another priority was personalization—each caregiver and client have different needs, so the platform should reflect that.
The Process
I began by mapping out areas of friction within the current platform, focusing on navigation, layout, and visual hierarchy. From there, I designed a more streamlined experience:
The result is a high-fidelity prototype, built in Axure RP, that shows how a simpler, more focused Cubigo platform could look. It highlights the redesigned color scheme, improved icon system, and the flexibility of personalized dashboards using widgets. With this version, caregivers can spend less time navigating—and more time caring.
